What are the assessment options?
Homeschoolers are evaluated using one of two options.
1. Standardized Testing
2. Portfolio Assessment

Is there someone I may address further questions to regarding homeschooling?
You may address any questions concerning homeschooling to REACH Email and a REACH member will get back to you. Every attempt will be made to respond in a timely fashion, but we are volunteers and homeschoolers so please be patient with us.
Who can homeschool?
Anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent may homeschool children.
What do you have to do to begin?
File a notice of intent to homeschool with the Raleigh County Board of Education two weeks before you begin with the following:
1. Child’s age
2. Your current address
3. Name of child
4. Intended curriculum
5. Subjects to be covered
